Remove the design with the right sidebar in Genesis

Find out how to remove the right sidebar layout design in Genesis Framework themes using code.

Genesis offers 6 different layout designs that combine the content with the primary and secondary sidebars.

In most cases, you don’t need all of them, and you can hide each design with a simple snippet in Genesis.

For example, this is what you should do to remove the one layout with a sidebar to the right of the content:

Add this fragment to the end of the functions.php file:

With this simple line, the right sidebar design will no longer appear in the “Layout” section of the Genesis sidebar.

If you are interested, you can also delete the left sidebar design or remove all sidebar designs using a single block of code.
